Reflecting on 8 Beatitudes

Reflecting on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Corporal and Spirtual Works of Mercy

How did I strengthen my relationship with the Lord today?

Where did I see God today?

What did I do for Jesus today?

When did I see the Father's love for me?

Is something troubling me?

What didn't go well today? Can I make it better tomorrow?

Reflect on Luke 18:9-14

- Be comfortable in silence.

- Start a journal, perhaps even reflecting on past entries to see growth.

Introspection takes practice, honesty and humility.

- Understanding more about yourself and your purpose in life requires God's input.

- We are not stagnant and steady. We are always either growing away from God

or closer to God. Your direction is in your control.

- Take time away from the distractions and noise of today.

Become familiar with playing slow, sustained sounds.

Explore movements and passes within a chord.

For example, if praying St. Ignatius' Examen, dedicate a chord for each step and let

your thoughts guide your movements through the chord.

Step 1 (I chord), Step 2 (ii chord), Step 3 (iii chord), Step 4 (IV chord), Step 5 (return to I)

Let there be some silence in between the sounds
